IIST Student Micro-Satellite Program

The IIST,Thiruvananthapuram, was started with an aim to create the future space scientists required for Indian space program to reach new heights. The institute was inaugurated almost three years back in Sept 14, 2007. In keeping up with the goals, the first batch of IIST (will graduate in July, 2011) is already working on some interesting student projects.  The students are working on a micro-satelite project in association with ISRO. ISRO is doing a great job in promoting many student satellite project among Indian student community.

Unfortunately, our corrospondent was not able to get any detailed information about the project upon contacting the institute  faculty multiple times. We hope to update this article in the near future with more technical information.
