ISS Monthly Student Competition

Did you get inspired by watching movies like E.T, Star wars, Wall-E ? Here is a chance to write your own story?. All you have to do is to come-up with an interesting futuristic story.The students are encouraged to write creative stories that takes into consideration the advances in the space exploration, space technology, astronomy and aviation sector in the year 2100.

Some of the suggested themes around which you can build-up the story are,

  • Various new ventures in space business, e.g., Space tourism
  • New games/sports that could be played in the space
  • Strange discoveries like a floating lake, Aliens
  • Stories about how human beings get settled down on the other planets, e.g., Human colonies on Mars
  • Any wild imagination which takes space exploration into the consideration in the year 2100.

A winner will be chosen each month. The exciting prizes will consist of space toys, space books, space bags, space caps, Shuttle Models and much more...

Rules and Regulation:

  • The  submitted entries will become the property of  Indian Space Station. However, the author will get the full credit whenever the story gets published.
  • The competition is open only for students up-to 10th Std.
  • The story should be your original work. However, you could use the others work by giving detailed references.
  • Only the soft copy of the document is accepted. You can use applications like MSWORD, Word Pad and Note Pad to write the story.

  • All entries have to be written in English language.
  • There are no charges to participate in the competition.

My daughter is in 5th standard. I want to develop her interest in science esp. astronomy. Please guide how and what can I do to draw her interest? Are their any initiatives from your side to motivate children at her age?
