Movie/Technology Review: Interstellar
Funny robot, Gravity for communication, Wormholes, Relativity !!!
Space hounds! how are you doing? We are back with another movie review - Interstellar. It should still be playing at a theatre in your town or city and if you can, go and see it on the big screen. Its an interesting movie in many ways. At its core, its a story about human beings and not Space as such. However, its uses the backdrop of Space to great effect. There are very little obvious special effects but the dialogue and story are gripping right until the very end. Its a long movie (more than 2 hours 45 minutes). The following paragraphs may reveal some parts of the movie and if you would like to see the movie first, go ahead, see the movie and then come back. This review is not going anywhere :-). So let's get to the interesting bits.

Guardians of the Galaxy
"Perhaps the single most fascinating object in the movie was a directed artificial gravity generator"
we are back with another movie review - Guardians of the Galaxy. It should still be playing at a theater in your town or city and If you can, go and see it on the big screen. Its a spectacular movie. The story is okay but the visuals are sumptuous and the alien characters the most interesting outside of Star Wars. I mention Star Wars in particular because this this movie is not set on Earth unlike pretty much any other superhero movie. The same is true of the Star Wars movies which in fact claim to be set in a different galaxy altogether. As usual, we will be talking about some of the interesting science shown in the movie. So a quick reminder that the following paragraphs will reveal some parts of the movie and if you would like to see the movie first, go ahead, see the movie and then come back. This review is not going anywhere :-)
Movie/Technology Review - Gravity, A Classic Movie

"Let's Get to it and Make Space a Safer Place for Us"
It has been a while but we are extremely pleased to come back to you with a review of a superb space movie - Gravity. If you have not seen it, you definitely should. In 3D. In IMAX. The visuals are that amazing. And the acting is good too. Although we must confess that we did not see it in IMAX, we were left dumbstruck. We know you have all been pre-occupied and obsessed with the news of Mangalyaan and this movie came out just before the launch so you may have missed it but now there is no reason not to go!
As usual, for us spacehounds, what we are interested in are the technological aspects and whether technology can enable us to go where no man has gone before.
Fair warning: some plot details will come out in the review so if you want to go see it while we wait, go ahead. We are not going anywhere. We shall wait.
